SLM or simulation-related links
The American equivalent of our site (I guess) is called 'Life After Link'. I know lots of us went to the
States, the site mentions ex-Binghamton and Houston employees, so have a look. There may
be someone you know.
PATENTS! We were innovative! We were ...... well, you tell me! Here are a bunch of
links with details of patents for:
Larry, Dave P. and Richard's FDS
System
Dave B.'s Normaliser Card
Eric Gwynn's Wide Angle Display
Device and his Gunnery
Training System
Kevin's Display System
(Image II?) and Scene Simulator
Dennis Cowdrey's Weather Radar
Simulator (Gillan, I should sue if I were you!)
Larry and Derek Allsop's Simulated
Instruments Interface
Keith Dillon's Decibel Addition
Circuit (blimey!)
Andy Richards maintains STUKHQ which, in Andy's
own words "is for the purpose of keeping UK simulator engineers up-to-date with who,
what and where in the industry". Good effort!
Another site with lots of useful stuff is Sim Tech Central -
"dedicated to professionals around the world who work on simulators. The purpose of
this page is to provide a web location for sim techs to visit for information on their
profession". Sounds good to me.
Flight Simulation.com "This portal is
dedicated to REAL Flight Simulation, a single point of contact for companies in Flight
Simulation and related industries". Fair enough!

OK, a personal favourite is the Amazon UK on-line bookshop.
These chaps are very good, the books come quickly, they're packed very well, they're
cheaper than usual and the site is secure. And now they do CDs, videos, DVDs and all sorts
of other stuff too!
This one is fun: the Internet
Anagram Server. Put in any combination of words, it mixes them up and gives you
anagrams. Hours of fun for all the family. Try the name of your boss.....
